&titulo1=MISSION&bloque1=To recycle scrap materials maintaining the highest quality standards and processes with a commitment to the protection of the environment.&titulo2=ABOUT US&bloque2=All Florida Scrap Metal was founded in 1953 by George Kram. George began by collecting scrap metal out on the road with his truck, selling to local scrap yards. He figured out that he could make a business out of buying and selling scrap metals. His hard work and perseverance built his yard to a successful business based on excellent service and close customer relations.

In 1970 his son Mark came in to learn the business and worked with his father George until he died in 1979. Mark took the business to another level by adding a new division to the company, which concentrated on buying and selling scrap domestically and internationally, appealing to a much broader customer base.

Another division he created is the containerized service department. This service provides steel containers “luggers” to various companies such as: manufacturers, construction sites, and smaller scrap yards that produce ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Recently, his daughter Gia has come into the business learning the same way her father did, from the ground up. Her father refers to it as an education equal to the “Harvard of Scrap”. During this time, All Florida's steel operation was created. This division ships the steel collected from the containerized service globally, broadening the scope of the business even further.

Upon graduating college, Mark's son Landon plans to join the family in the business. He and his sister will work together to continue the legacy of quality service and integrity, which All Florida Scrap Metal has built its reputation on.

RESPONSABILITY

Why it is important to recycle metal

  • It takes a lot less energy to melt down waste metal and recycle it than it does to produce new metal.
  • Using recycled metal reduces CO2 emissions and air pollution.
  • Less water is used and less water is polluted.
  • Reduces the need to mine the raw materials required to make the metal such as Iron for Steel, Nickel for Stainless Steel and Alumina and Bauxite for Aluminum.
  • Reduces the amount of metal going to landfill as despite a growing awareness of the value in recycling metal, a lot of household metal waste from cans is still ending up in landfill sites.
  • It is important to recycle as any metal ending up in landfill is simply a waste of valuable resources. Call us and recycle today!
